Here is a perfect chili recipe for a cold day. It's also perfect for around the campfire. If you want to add a fun twist you can eat like Becky's family and put the chili over a cinnamon roll icing and all!!!! It gives it a sweet and savory twist on a classic dish.
1lb ground beef or chopped up steak
3 bell peppers (I do one red, one yellow and one orange)
2 can of red beans (drain excess liquid)
2 cans black beans (drain excess liquid)
2 cans of diced tomatoes (drain all liquid)
2 smalls cans or 1 large can of baked beans (do NOT drain liquid)
1 packet of chili seasoning
Sour cream
Avacado
Shredded cheese of your choice
First step is too start getting the ground beef, if using stew chunks double the amount and throw them into the crock pot raw. While the ground beef is cooking wash and cut the peppers. Once the beef is done drain the fat and put it in the crock pot. Put the peppers, tomatoes and beans in the crock pot. Stir everything together all then add the chili season packet. Cook on low 6-8 hours. If able to stir every now and then. Once finished serve with your favorite cheese, sour cream and avacado.
Enjoy!!!
